Today, I have adapted a talk I gave a year ago at Dawson Community Church in Falkirk. The audio recording of the service no longer exists, but I had still the PowerPoint which I used and so I used it to make up a video - which contains some music on this theme, a reading of Luke's Gospel Chapter 1 by David Suchet and my own thoughts on the subject of Mary as an eyewitness to the virgin birth. There is no way that she would have invented this - think of the stigma and the scandal associated with this.
I refer to a book by Richard Bauckham which rejects any suggestion of distortion of evidence. He affirms that the eyewitnesses were still alive when the Gospels were written. Luke was a diligent historian who was keen to impress on his reader, Theophilus the certainty of the things he was recording. Here is the video
