Here is Linda's post away back in 11th March 2024. The videos are at the end of the post. In have statistics to prove that those who follow Day Share are inclined to be senior citizens. However, it is good to learn new hymns and spiritual songs as well as the golden oldies.
Can you believe we are on Monday worship song #9?!
I've had today's song on my list since I began this. However after listening in to Lou and Nathan Fellingham's Worship Wednesday last week, I decided it HAD to be this song LLou Fellingham If you enjoy worship music, then I thoroughly recommend listening in on a Wednesday morning at 8.30am on You Tube, or catch up later on when you can. Last Wed was a particular blessing to me. https://www.youtube.com/live/A32OUM_GPRU...
SO! Back to this week's song. It is not a traditional hymn, but the lyrics are taken straight from Psalm 46. This Psalm is one which is important to Peter McLean and myself. We originally learned this song from a Praise Gathering CD, then when we were in Airdrie Ebenezer church, Neill (Jill McGeachy) played it too and I remember Peter and I looking up at each other and smiling because it was our Psalm 46.
The song is called "There is a river" - I have given you two versions, I'll let you guess which one is my favourite:
There is a river whose streams make glad the city of our God
Chorus
And I will rejoice, I will rejoice and be glad
I will rejoice
And be glad
Verse 2
There is a fountain full of grace
And it flows from Emmanuel's veins
It came and it healed me, it came and refreshed me
It came and it washed my sins away
Enjoy and happy Monday
