Monday is when Linda shares her favourite worship song. She has loads of favourites. The videos are at the end of the blog. I start off with Linda's post for 4th March 2024.
Worship Song No. 8
Sorry, nearly forgot! It is still Monday though.
Today’s song is a Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir song “Thou O Lord”. My friends know that I quite like the BTC and often joke about making sure they sing at my funeral. In fact, I do believe I have tasked many people with ensuring this happens
I‘m calling it a Worship song, but no one I know would be brave enough to try and tackle this as congregational worship. The words and music speak for themselves. Two versions, the first one is the Praise Gathering Choir and I’ve counted about 16 people in the choir that I know. I‘m not one of them this time round- sadly.
The second version is the BTC .
Elizabeth Finnie, Nikki Sturrock, Jill McGeachy (well Neill), Em Mc, Ruth Box, Robert Douglas
The words are taken from Psalm 3:3.
But you, O Lord, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter up of my head. [Psalm 3:3 ESV]
