Today, I want to share a video of one of our granddaughters being baptised by immersion at her own church. Hope is 12 years old - the fifth of our seven grandchildren. Her parents are Peter and Linda McLean who have both been featured on previous Dayshare blogs. Hope came to faith recently although she had been brought up with Christian parents and both sets of grandparents are Christians.
She is a lovely 12 year old girl - sensitive, intelligent, quiet most of the time. She is very perceptive and is a budding actor (not allowed to use the old word actress). She loves singing and performing on stage. But she is basically a shy girl who enjoys her own company. I have included some pictures to allow Dayshare readers to get some idea of her personality. Hope was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes 3 years ago and she manages her insulin intake and her diet with new technology. We are proud at the way she has managed her condition - she does not want pity or attention. She wants to live as normal a life as possible. She is a first year pupil at Airdrie Academy.
Here is her video with the service led by the pastor, John Dick. The church was packed full and it was a great day. All our family were present including all seven grandchildren.
There is also a shorter version at the end of the blog. It does not include the whole service. The first one includes her testimony and also a singer who has been featured previously - Fiona Crow is the youngest member of our family.
