And wherever he went—into villages, towns or countryside—they placed the sick in the marketplaces. They begged him to let them touch even the edge of his cloak, and all who touched it were healed. [Mark 6:56 NIV]
This verse is brimming with excitement and wonder. Mark is keen to portray Jesus as a wonder worker. Here the emphasis is on his power to heal those who were ill. Notice the language of excitement and exuberance:
wherever he went
villages town or countryside
all who touched were healed
There is only one recorded miracle of a woman touching the edge of his cloak and being healed. This is recorded in Mark 5: 25 - 29. We have recently looked at this incident in a previous Day Share entitled, "Freed from Suffering," 17/03/2022. It is interesting how new spreads. The best advert for Christianity is a life changed. The news of this woman's healing had become a well-known story and others wanted to be healed in the same way as she had experienced. This is the power of testimony. Notice that others wanted the same experience as this woman had had. It would be great if there were so many people wanting to get Jesus to help them today.
Jesus can still work miracles. He can still change lives. I am sharing a video of how Anne Marie Cook's life has been changed since she had an encounter with Jesus. She speaks of being a new creation - her old lifestyle has been left behind and she has a new purpose in her life. Anne Marie was in a bad place when she made her way to a church in her home town of Tillicoultry in Clackmannanshire, Scotland. I am going to hand over to Anne Marie to tell her story. Her favourite hymn is found in Mission Praise - My Chains are gone and this hymn features in the video.

Maybe you think that Anne Marie's story does not apply to you. You have not messed up your life the way Anne Marie had done. I am going to be bold enough to suggest that you still need Jesus in your life - no matter how respectable you are and how good living you think you are.
I am looking for other volunteers!!!!
Powerful testimony!
I’m reminded of the words of the old hymn ‘Since Jesus came into my life’ …
What a wonderful change in my life has been wrought Since Jesus came into my heart; I have light in my soul for which long I have sought, Since Jesus came into my heart.
Since Jesus came into my heart, Since Jesus came into my heart; Floods of joy o'er my soul like the sea billows roll, Since Jesus came into my heart
I will never tire of listening to her testimony. Or anyone’s actually 🙌
